We are looking for an accomplished .NET architect to join an elite team and to lead the design, implementation and integration of brand new financial services applications based on core Microsoft .NET technology.

We will expect you to have a strong OO background and significant experience of all phases of enterprise-scale application development working for a systems integrator, software house or corporate end-user organisation (banking experience NOT required). This should include the detailed architecture design of at least one major distributed system, based on core Microsoft .NET technologies.

Working closely with the business and third party suppliers, this is a very high-profile role demanding excellent communication skills, drive to succeed and a commitment to software engineering excellence. The role also includes mentoring less experienced staff. Previous experience of banking or financial services is NOT required.

As well as experience of C#, .NET class libraries, Design Patterns, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MSMQ, we will expect you to have an understanding of SOA and WebServices. You should also be familiar with processes and techniques such as UML, RUP, Agile Methods etc. Any experience of integration with mainframes or Java J2EE systems will be of interest.
