Work for the UK arm of this global financial services organisation as they implement a new roadmap for the systems which underpin their retail insurance products. As Application Development Delivery Manager you will plan and supervise all activities involved in the design, development, integration and deployment of large, complex software applications, with a team including own staff as well as third party partners.

We are looking for an individual with strong relationship building, motivational and team-building skills capable of delivering first class results in a fully collaborative way. You will be adept at influencing others and will use your innovative problem-solving skills to apply technology at a strategic and system level to solve business problems. Your background should include:

• Familiarity with the systems development lifecyle (SDLC) for enterprise applications including industry standards and frameworks.
• Knowledge of bespoke development, package implementation and EAI.
• Experience as a people/team manager
• Strong project and risk management experience - Prince 2 preferred.
• Well developed stakeholder management abilities
• Broad experience of different platforms and channels eg mainframes, Java, J2EE, .NET, web applications
• Knowledge of methodologies eg RUP, CMMI
• Experience of reporting tools and data warehouses.

Experience of the financial services sector, particularly insurance, would be advantageous but is NOT essential.
